If something on this site is stopping you getting insurance quotes, we will take your details over the phone or by email and put your request through ourselves. You should not have to fight a website to get a quote.
What we are working towards
Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard used by most of the world, including the US Department of Justice, to judge whether a website is usable by people with disabilities.
What we have done
- Tested every page of this site with automated accessibility tools and fixed what they found.
- Checked that text meets the contrast levels the guidelines ask for, and darkened our brand colours where they did not.
- Given every form field, checkbox and dropdown a label a screen reader can announce.
- Made the site usable with a keyboard alone, without a mouse.
- Written alternative text for images that carry meaning.
- Kept the quote form in plain, short questions rather than jargon.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is not a one-off project. Automated testing catches many issues but not all of them, and some judgements need a person rather than a tool, so we keep reviewing and improving this site as we go.
Parts of this site also rely on services provided by others. If one of those gives you trouble, tell us and we will find another way to help you.
